1891 James and Louisa are living at 62 Stainforth Road in one of the Victorian houses, with James saying he is a General Labourer and their son James Frederick William is 4 years old.
Next appearing are my 2xGreat-Grandparents George Pearce (yes that’s his middle name) living in Pearson Street in 1891 as a 19 year old lodger listed as a Carman. Then in January 1892 he is a Gardener living at 78 Stainforth Road and he is marrying Amelia from the next road (44 Shillington Street). They were married at Christchurch with her parents are Witnesses.
In 1894 James and Louisa give birth to their daughter Winnifred at 62 Stainforth Road, and in the next street George and Amelia give birth to their daughter Florence. I love the idea that these girls grew up knowing each other as Florence went on to marry Win’s older brother James F.W. in 1911.
